CHASEO's Mission Statement:CHASEO's mission is to provide community development, resource development and educational services for member co-operatives and their individual members. CHASEO supports the development of self-managed communities and co-operatives and will be a common voice for its member co-operatives. CHASEO will achieve these aims by providing quality services through a democratic non-profit corporate structure guided by the principles and the objectives of the Canadian co-operative movement. The Board of Directors is elected annually to oversee the operations. There are 7 directors: 6 are elected by housing co-ops and one is appointed by the staff association.
