About Geoff Robbins

Geoff Robbins was a long-time activist and volunteer in Ottawa’s co-op housing community. A member of Daly co-op, he served as CHASEO’s Treasurer until his death in November 2005. He was a loyal and dedicated volunteer in our housing co-op sector. To remember him and to celebrate the excellent financial management skills of our member co-ops, we created this award in his name in 2006.

About this Award

Recognizing the financial skills of other co-ops provides us with the opportunity to share best financial practices, and give ourselves a well-deserved pat on the back! The implementation and administration of these practices allows co-ops to provide the best-possible form of affordable housing to its members; these co-ops are well-run, financially secure, prepared for the future, and have knowledgeable Board Members to oversee the finances.
